The best reason to buy art is because you love it. It is always an advantage to view the work in advance of purchase as it may appear different from an image presented online.
Once you have decided what you want to buy, you should also consider the following:
· Installation - does it have any special requirements?
· Delivery - is there an extra charge for this? Who will arrange delivery?
· Size - will it fit the space in my home or office?
· What's included in the price? Does this include framing etc?

If you are looking to collect works from a particular artist, there are always pros and cons to all collections.
The markets for various types of art differ due to factors like stability, longevity, supply, demand, how accomplished artists are, how broad collector bases are, fashion, and what influential art experts do and say.

Why are some artists prices very diffrent to others.
Always think about who you are purchasing works from. Why are you purchasing work and what is the works purpose.
If you are purchasing from an artist who exhibtits in several locations, they will be more investable as they are behind their work, and will record where it has gone, previous sales prices, supply and demand, they are professional or established with a full sale history.
A newcomer or emerging artist has yet to build a track record of sales to clients, and a body of work with previous sales, will not be well known and or sought after.
